The First Day

Hi, there! 

Thanks for peeking my blog. Some years ago, I was writing a blog about my reading and some other interests for a few years. Then there were many interesting and well-designed SNS created and those communities expanded. They are very nice place to meet new online friends and books. However, no site is quite perfect for me to write about the books I read. 

While I am reading English books, there isn't a huge problem posting my reviews. I mainly go to Goodreads to browse and review books. I sometimes have an urge to introduce to my online Japanese friends of those fantastic authors and books that haven't been translated in Japanese though. When I read Japanese books in my native language Japanese, however, problems arise. If I want to talk and hear from Japanese readers, I need to go Japanese SNS. The design quality of those SNS is not quite as good as Goodreads, and  I often frustrate. In addition, the majority of readers there read Japanese author's books, so I need to go back to Goodreads to browse English books.

So. I thought that it would be nice to put everything of mine in one place, here. That's how I started this blog. I know it requires lots of time to update both this blog and other SNS. (I actually have an account on two Japanese SNS because each of them has different pro and con.) I'll see how far I can continue...

P.S.
I post this blog's link to both English and Japanese book SNS, so I may write in English and sometimes in Japanese. Google translation is not perfect that I know. Since I'm fluent in Japanese more than Google (obviously!), I will write some posting in Japanese when I want Japanese visitors to read. When I am writing about a Japanese book that is not translated into English, I will write the post only in Japanese.

読書メーター、あるいはブクログからリンクを辿って訪れて頂いた方、ありがとうございます。たまたまサーチで見つけて迷い込んだ方もありがとうございます。
私の読書記録や本検索はGoodreadsが主で、今もそれは変わりません。しかし、日本人作品については日本の方が情報豊富ですし、生まれ育った文化が同じの日本人の方が琴線の触れ方も似ている事が多いので、日本の読書サイトがとても便利です。その一方、私の参加している読メもブクログも今一つ十分でなく、どちらかに絞るのが難しい次第です。そうしている結果、３つもSNSを付けて、ある時はコピペして、ある時は短く省略して（読メの文字制限は私にとって結構マイナスです）いかなければならず、不便に感じる事が多々あります。
ちゃんとレビューを書きたい時はこちらにレビューを入れてから、ブクログにはコピペ、読メには省略文（時には省略しなくても字数が足りるかも）を投稿する形にしようと思っています。ここまで面倒な事をしてまで読メとブクログを退会しないのは、それぞれのサイトで色んな方との出会いややり取りが楽しいからに他なりません。

そういう訳で、特に読メ会員さま、そして私が読んでいる英語本に興味がある方、時々覘いてみて頂けると嬉しいです。
